Progress or not?

Same motive again and again – experimenting with trees, water, shadows… and green, how do you do natural green?

Soon I guess there will be a fourth one…
This is me being stubborn.

Talens Rembrandts, Winsor & Newtons and Daniel Smith watercolors on 100% cotton, cold press, Arches, 300g, 18*22 cm.

Previous attempts last year, and the same location, turned out like this:

The charming little stone bridge in this post is of unknown age is located in Tanum in northern Bohuslän, Sweden.

The left, pink flower is the (beautiful but invasive) Himalayan balsam, the other is a yellow iris.

First test was maybe not the most efficient test of granulation it was supposed to be, but definitely a leap out of my comfort zone with a looser more “classic” watercolor style.

The picture is from Jörlanda, Bohuslän, Sweden a few (read December 2017 😉 ) years ago during a walk with friends.
The cat? – who knows, he/she just liked walking with us I guess…
